Next Chapter meeting - Sept. 1, 5:30pm, at the Spirit of San Luis. Cynthia Douglas will present a DVD on icing. Flying on the Central Coast, it can be too easy to forget the dangers of precipitation and icing. This DVD will gives a refresher on how to recognize the hazards of icing, how to avoid dangerous situations, and what to do if you encounter unexpected conditions. Social 1/2 hour is from 5:30-6:00pm. The program begins at 6:00 and will be followed by a brief business meeting.

Saturday, Nov 7, 2009 — San Luis Obispo, CA. San Luis Obispo Paso Robles (PRB). Poker Run-San Luis Obispo Chapter 99s. The Poker Run was a big success and a lot of fun for the participants. Sunni from the Santa Maria 99s won the best hand and the prize money! Gaby had a wonderful BBQ at her hanger in Paso Robles.

- 7/18/09-8/6/09 - Cheryl Cooney flew her Piper Arrow to Chicago for the 99s International Conference and then on to Wisconsin to attend EAA Airventure in Oshkosh.
- 6/24/09 - Toni Amaral passed her private pilot check ride. Way to go Toni!
- 5/28/09 - Renie Elliott flew a Comanche 250 back from San Diego after a weekend in Mexico with the Flying Samaritans.
- 5/17/09 - Finished the compass rose at SBP.
- 4/24/09 - 4/25/09 Airmarking! We started painting a compass rose at SBP.
