Next Chapter meeting - February 1, 2012. Flying in Africa!
Giraffes refusing to cede the runway? Hyenas chewing on your Cessna's tires?
Runway washed away by rain?
Flying in Africa has its challenges, but, as Charly Schaad will tell you, it
ranks among the the most rewarding experiences for her as a pilot. Hear about
her African adventures at the next meeting of the SLO 99s.
Africa captivates its pilot visitors with adventurous flights over empty,
primordial landscapes with landings on faraway bush strips. And its heavenly and
secluded safari lodges, a cornucopia of wild animals, and its extraordinary
people leave everyone enchanted.
At our February meeting, Charly will talk about her flying adventures in Africa.
Bring a friend, spouse, or anyone interested in hearing about this unique
experience.
Socialize and place your dinner order from 5:30-6:00pm. Charly's presentation
begins at 6pm sharp! That's Wednesday, February 1, at the Spirit of San Luis.

Our Mission - The Ninety-Nines is the international organization of women pilots that promotes advancement of aviation through education, scholarships, and mutual support while honoring our unique history and sharing our passion for flight.
The 99s are composed of a group of unique women - the famous and all of us who aren't, who love the delight of being able to fly. The 99s are pilots who teach, pilots who fly for pleasure, and pilots who are technicians & mechanics. But first and foremost the 99s are women who love to fly and are dedicated to aviation.
The SLO99s chapter is part of the South-West section and was initiated in 1969.
